Hatching Dragon sculpture

This sculpture is called the "Hatching Emperor dragon" in rainbow. He is about the size of an ostrich egg.

Hand sculpting a perfect egg is nearly impossible. I thought about using a real ostrich egg to make this sculpture but instead had the egg turned by a professional pattern maker. He used a tool made from my drawing of the egg and formed the egg , in plaster, on a wheel. This is how they make perfect lamp bases and big urns and stuff like that.
