This is the Pegasus stallion painted like a quagga. Quaggas are an extinct race of plains zebra.This one's markings resemble the "reconstructed" quaggas that have been bred from zebras, because he has the white area around his muzzle and bright black and white stripes . I'm pretty sure quaggas had stripy wings like this.

Argh! One of my favorite critters! If I hadn't just dumped a load of bux on computer parts, I'd have been on this one. Sigh. Got another Lichtenberg run coming up next month too....

Sorry I haven't said much. Computer went belly up for awhile. My latest skeletal acquisitions are a full dog-faced bat skeleton, and a tanuki skull from Japan. Oh, and there's another bat skull, but I forget the species at the moment....

A tanuki! How neat! I envy your bat collection.
I only have one bat skeleton that I got from a toy catalog, of all places!

All your equines look fabulous as quaggas...I did my PYO Kirin as a quagga and it was too cute. :) The stripey wings are just perfect.

Ha! I was just about to try painting a Male kirin like a quagga! It is going to be hard to paint those scales and rough fur texture like smooth stripes though.Maybe it won't work.I painted a mermaid like a quaga too.Hee hee.
