White Noise the griffin by Reptangle White Noise the griffin by Reptangle
This is "White Noise" the male griffin. He is the Windstone raffle prize for October 2011.
I airbrushed him in an odd black and white pattern with metallic colored markings and spots.
If you would like more info about our monthly Windstone raffle, here is a link to a blog I posted about him.

This is a gypsum reproduction of my original sculpture , produced by Windstone editions.
He is about10 inches tall.

This is odd, but yet at the same time extremely cool. :D Love the iridescence the spots have.

*sighs* And I TOTALLY missed signing up for this raffle, too. October is my birth month. Ah well, guess it means I need to check the forums more!

Reminds me of those weird little Italian candies; white chewy stuff with the jewel colored bits of stuff in them... I don't remember what they were called.

How long does a really detailed griffin like this take you to do?

I've been working on this one on and off for a month or so. It is one of those "whenever I get a fee moment" projects, so I didn't keep track of exact time.

Really neat looking color! That must have been quite meticulous to paint in all those metalic feathers.
