Unicorn Colt Grab Bag edition by Reptangle Unicorn Colt Grab Bag edition by Reptangle
These are a few of the new "Unicorn Colts" that were sold from the September 2013 grab bag edition.

I airbrushed these guys in natural horse colors. I used lots of reference photos to be as accurate as I could ... horse markings are really amazing!- Included in this batch are: grey dapples, pinto-loosas, dapple pinto-loosas , reverse dapples, webbing, silver dapples, overo, tobiano (and whatever Gypsy Vans are) pintos... metallic palominos, sorrels, roans , liver chestnuts and every sort of appaloosa.
These unicorns are about 3 1/2 inches tall. They have glass eyes and gold plated pewter horns.
These are cast gypsum reproductions of my original sculptures, produced by Windstone Editions.

I don't do custom paint jobs, because I don't have time to... but we did have a "paint-your-own unicorn" sculpture that you can customize yourself.
Unfortunately we are out of horns for it at the moment!
Here is a link if you'd like to see it anyway ( scroll down): windstoneeditions.com/catalog/…

I noticed that! =P I'm going to have to go get signed up so I can be notified when they are back in stock ;) I need to make me a Kark-Uni hybrid when you have them back in stock :D (Given the horns are straight rather than curved, lol) ;)

I got mine today, and came here to say thank you for such a lovely uni, and realized he's totally in this photo! Far right, center row. He shall now be named Jack Frost. It wasn't one of the colors I would have requested right off, but I really loved him the moment he came out of the box. *the lacing is so cool* Thank you!

That is a "reverse dapple" .  If you google "reverse dapple" there are some great photos of "giraffe" horses.
It is a really odd horse color!
I am so glad you like him!

Oh, cool! I've seen it referred to as spiderwebbing, or lacing, or even cobwebbing (which sounds gross, to me), but I like reverse dapple better.

I learn a lot about horse colors from doing this! I am not sure what some of these colors ARE, exactly, because I copied the coloring of horses from photos. Those dappled darkish tan ones with light manes... they are real, but I have no idea what color/name they are! Maybe "silver dapple" ?

I freaking LOVE that buckskin roan in the middle, I am SO sad to have missed this batch, I was a day away from getting my check when these guys went up. That roan was the kicker for me, I could have lived with missing this batch(there will always be more naturals to grab in the future), but that roan speaks to me lol. Oh woe is me.

Excuse me while I go rock myself and cry in the corner.....lol.

Please please, if you do any natural Unicorns in the future, please please PLEASE do more roans like that middle guy! And if you ever made a roan a production color I'd have to be forever in your debt!(okay that's a bit dramatic but you get what I'm saying!)

Anyways, congrats, you've outdone your self once again! You grow and grow more impressive with each new batch!

If you go to Windstoneeditions.com in the store section is where grab bag things are sold, though batches tend to disappear quickly. You get one, and this batch was $145 if I remember correctly.
