Rainbow Glitter RedFox front by Reptangle Rainbow Glitter RedFox front by Reptangle
This is a tiny "pebble" red fox  that I airbrushed with special rainbow glitter paint. He is one of a line of a line of "pebble" animals I did, but these things are so much harder to paint than I thought they would be, we haven't produced many yet.
 Smooth things... gah!
This is a gypsum reproduction of my original sculpture , produce with difficulty by Windstone Editions
This guy was sold on ebay

I did not see those on my last trip to the site.  I'll look again!  Lots of Corgi people collect foxes, too.

I don't take commissions, but I will be painting more of these more of these soon. I plan to do a "grab bag" batch of this fox, in all the natural colors red foxes come in.
We will probably be selling these foxes from our Windstone store first. Here's a link: windstoneeditions.com/catalog

Yeah. Really cool. :D I love the subtle sparkle; it makes it look like a natural ore that was dug up out of the ground.

Wow, it looks like a ceramic glaze!  I usually prefer realistic sculptures; a stylized has to be REALLY well done for me to appreciate it, and this little guy is absolutely perfect!

What kind of paint did you use on that? Is it something only for airbrushes?

Yes this stuff is for spray painting, or airbrush. It is a hideously expensive automotive paint

The results clearly shows. Those rainbows that looks a bit like oil.
Have you tried just simple, plain colours with clear cut edges in between?

I have test painted these several ways, I did do some with realistic fox markings. There is a pic in this gallery somewhere...
The idea was to softy airbrush them, so they looked smooooth, and were quick to finish. These guys are really little. I was hoping to have a line of these simple pebble foxes that we could sell as inexpensive things. Turns out they are as hard to finish as anything else, plus they are too small to charge much for, so... fail.
We have a new method to paint them that I am trying though, so there is hope
