Lavender fledgeling dragon by Reptangle Lavender fledgeling dragon by Reptangle
We painted a small batch of these Fledgelings with pearly lavender acrylic paint. He is cast in gypsum and is about 5 inches tall.
I always spell fledgling wrong.

I LOVE this soft color paired with the lighter gold wings and lavender eyes (and the gold nose tip- so cute)! One of my favorites. I had been trying to decide all weekend to buy him/her with 2 in stock, when I went back to buy this evening, they were all gone :( Hopefully more will be in soon! That, or I might just have to buy the young version instead.

Any ideas or plans for albino dragons in the shop?

Gosh, we haven't done normal dragons in albino yet have we?? (I did do a couple albino rock dragons)... WELL, we shall have to try that!
Thank you !

This little thing is back in stock already! Must buy (for real now, though lol).

I just love albinos. If you make normal dragons in albino, I will willingly throw my debit card at you and your painters! Your albino rock dragon was gorgeous, all the texture was just .
I look forward to the day they are in the shop! I think I have to make an account for the forums/updates now...

You're welcome! Please keep everything up. I enjoy getting to see inside your world from time-to-time ;)

Are your dragon babies precocial, or do they require parental care? ;)

They are like baby guinea pigs, eyes open, able to walk but still need a bit of brooding and nurturing, until they are about 30. Like humans.

Wow, your work is beautiful! How did you learn to carve scales? I'd love to figure that out myself, have any tips? :)

I guess I learned by carving wood.
To make overlapping "fish" scales, I draw, and cut or carve the edge shape of the scales on the smooth sculpture, and carve material away up to the cut line. That's the quick part. Then sand-sand-sand until the scales are smooth, rounded and polished. Takes forever. I haven't found any shortcuts!
Thank you!
