Dapple grey hippogriff by Reptangle Dapple grey hippogriff by Reptangle
This hippogriff candle holder's front feet don't look too stupid in this position, because he has them up where you don't notice the size of them in relation to to the back legs.
This is a piece that I airbrushed in this special color for ebay. He is a reproduction of my original sculpture, produced (usually in a "stone" finish) by Windstone Editions

His image with your heavily referenced 'griff says "(c) Sony Online Entertainment, LLC" at the bottom.

Either Sony hired him to do those images, or he's letting people know that those characters are copyrighted to Sony. If Sony hired him, they'll not like the fact that he heavily referenced another artist's work... especially one with a 'legal eagle.'

He is also in Turkey and I don't think our copyrights hold there... but I dunno. Looks more like he just pasted a photo from our catalog!

I work with image editing programs and can say that if he did paste a photo, the image went through a lot of post processing. I think he traced, if not heavily referenced, the image above and not the stone finished one you linked to below. You can tell because of how his hooves look fuller like in the image above.

Artificially zooming in I can see that he did the hippogriff, animals, and some background elements separately and then composited them together later. I'm pretty sure that he did those stone owls separately because he had to stretch them out in the composited piece in order to rest under her hands. Speaking of those owls, they too look suspect.

It is really odd that someone who is that professional and is such a great artist would bother lifting an image like that. I went through the rest of his art and didn't see anything else that was obviously taken from other artwork.

When I saw that center image I thought, "Hmm, he probably referenced those animals. Yep, they look referenced." It was those animals that made me look closer at the background as well and that's when I saw your hippogriff.

Scanning through his gallery I'm surprised that he doesn't make mention about using any models or references. On a couple of images he mentions that the background was referenced, but he didn't say that it was referenced from another artist, real photo, or what. No link or name to what he referenced if it exists on the web.

Say, I don't know if you've explored any "whistle-blowing-on-thievery" pages here on DA, but the people that read up on thieves on those pages can be ruthless. Perhaps you can hide all of our comments on this subject concerning you and kerembeyit because you two could risk getting trolling comments even long after the issue has been resolved.

Just a thought.

*snickersnort* Yeah, that's how you get around that claw-to-hoof proportion problem. But! It balances out very well with the pose, and the way that the claws form a secure candle-holder.
